Class Government Positions

POSITIONS

PRIME MINISTER

·       Delivers speeches when necessary (to guests)

·       Collects homework when required

·       Assists with other positions/roles

·       National Anthem and D.P.A. Leader

PREMIER

·       Delivers speeches when necessary

·       Checks windows and closes doors, during drills, classes

·       Assists helpers with any classroom duties

MESSENGER (2 Positions)

·       Delivers attendance and/or messages

·       Delivers snack bin

·       Answers class telephone

SECRETARY

·       Distributes notebooks/worksheets

·       Organizes books, worksheets (assists Ms. Givelos)

·       Writes homework for Agendas on whiteboard

LIBRARIAN

·       Neatly organizes books on shelves

·       Assists with choosing books that are relevant to the curriculum (what we are learning about)

·       Assists with Featured Book of the Month

·       Assists with Featured Series of the Month

ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN

·       Water plants

·       Inspects floor/desks (end of day)

·       Records desk check on a week (Friday)

·       Assists with computers/printing

SOUND MONITOR

·       Monitors class volume using signals

·       Reminds class of appropriate levels when necessary (class and hallway)

RECYCLING/BIN HELPER (2 Positions)

·       Transports lunch bin from cafeteria to classroom

·       Assists with lunch bags

·       Empties/monitors recycling

SUBSTITUTES

·       If students are absent, the substitute will fill the position until they return
